It is almost the end of the year 2016 and this year I learned an important reason why the field of Artificial Intelligence is taking off.
Yes, we now have access to huge amounts of data. Massive amounts of computational resources are at our fingertips, and AI algorithms are getting better every year. But, an important reason for the explosive growth of Artificial Intelligence is the generosity of the community. People are generous with ideas and code, and that I think that led to a situation where beginners can get started easily and even solve a real world problem. I have myself benefitted greatly from this generosity.
So, this holiday season, I am giving back to the community in a small way. I am gifting 10 copies of the new Deep Learning book by Ian Goodfellow, Yoshua Bengio, and Aaron Courville.
Who is the ideal recipient of this gift? It is someone who is very interested in Artificial Intelligence even though they may be complete beginners. It is someone who likes building stuff, tinkering with new ideas, and giving back to the community. It does not matter where you live, what your gender, religion, ethnicity etc. is.

Happy new year folks! I have finished reviewing all emails. I am overwhelmed and very thankful for your response.
